ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES
Artist of the Month
We are excited to announce a new initiative at the Greenville Museum of Art! Artist of the Month invites YOU to submit your artwork to be on display in the Museum. Each month, one local artist will be featured in an exhibition in the West Hallway, located next to the Museum Gift Shop. Artists from Pitt County and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
Submissions will be grouped by medium and selected at random to ensure equal opportunity for exhibition. Only complete submissions that adhere to the established guidelines will be considered. Submissions that do not meet these requirements will not be eligible for exhibition.

The GMoA’s Summer Shindig will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Through this event, the GMoA seeks to reach its fundraising goals with several fun and exciting programs, including live music, an open mic, dancing, an open bar, and great food from Sam Jones BBQ. GMoA will include a silent auction as part of this fundraising event, and we are seeking artists interested in donating OR consigning artwork at this year’s Summer Shindig silent auction. Proceeds from artist support will directly benefit the GMoA’s exciting schedule of exhibitions and programming, as well as its art education programs and outreach efforts. If you are interested in contributing to this fundraiser, you have the options below:
a) Outright Donation: If your donation is chosen for auction and the minimum bid price is $150.00, you will receive two (2) Summer Shindig tickets. Donations will receive priority reviewing before consigned artwork.
b) Consignment: If your donation is chosen for auction, you will receive 50% of the proceeds from its sale. The consignment option does not include Summer Shindig tickets.
For both options, please fill out the form to provide us with the details of the artwork. Forms must be completed in entirety to be considered and/or accepted. We also need to know the work's reserve price/minimum bid and an estimated price range in which you expect the work to sell. Donations/consignments of artwork valued at more than $1,500 will not be considered.
