PCDC Inmate Art Exhibition

  • Greenville Museum of Art 802 Evans Street Greenville, NC, 27834 United States (map)

This pop-up exhibition showcases artwork created by current and former participants in the S.H.A.R.P. and W.E.A.R. programs. Each piece was completed while the artist was in custody at the Pitt County Detention Center.

The S.H.A.R.P. (Sheriff’s Hope And Recovery Program) and W.E.A.R (Women’s Empowerment And Recovery) initiatives, founded by Pitt County Sheriff Paula Dance, support inmates battling substance use disorder. The programs help participants transform their thinking, rebuild their lives, make healthier decisions, and reintegrate with their families, with the ultimate goal of preventing future crime and incarceration.

Join us for light refreshments on Friday, November 7 from 5-8pm as part of the Downtown Greenville First Friday Artwalk!

Thank you to East Carolina Vocational Center Frame Shop for donating frames for our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners!
