Safe Zone Training

  • Greenville Museum of Art 802 Evans Street Greenville, NC, 27834 United States (map)

Safe Zone trainings are unique and wonderful opportunities to learn about LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer) identities, gender and sexuality, and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege.

We don’t get a lot of space in society to talk about these things, and Safe Zone trainings unique and wonderful because they’re exactly that: a judgement free place to ask questions, to be vulnerable, and to learn. While many of us want to be supportive, we may not necessarily feel confident with the language, with our own level of understanding, and don’t know where to go to learn more.

Safe Zone trainings are safe places for people can go to learn more and deepen their understanding of LGBTQ+ identity and issues.

The training is open to all who are interested and it is free to participate, though prior registration is appreciated. Please email info@gmoa.org or call 252.758.1946 to RSVP.
