ARTIST’S STUDIO with GAIL RITZER
Enjoy one-on-one instruction in a variety of media and in a supportive studio environment. Gail Ritzer received her B.S. in Art Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an M.F.A. in Ceramics and Painting from East Carolina University.
TEXTILES AND MATERIALS with MARIE HAMRA
Learn fabric, crocheting, knitting, quilting, or jewelry techniques while creating a unique piece of art. This class can meet regularly each week and/or be project-based. Marie Hamra, born and raised in Lebanon, learned the textile arts as a part of her Lebanese culture.

ENROLLMENT COSTS:
$60 for GMoA MEMBERS*:
Includes four (4) classes from each session, to be chosen by the student and confirmed by instructor.
$70 for NON - MEMBERS:

ELIGIBILITY:
Students in grades 5 – 8 are eligible. Parents and students must complete an application. We will contact the art teacher listed on the application form to obtain a written letter of nomination of the student to the Academy. An application is included above and may also be obtained from your child’s art teacher, from the Academy or from the Greenville Museum of Art.
TUITION:
Tuition is $325 each semester for new students and $275 for returning students. Supplies for all studio sessions are included. Financial aid may be available. Contact us for more info.

CLASS STRUCTURE:
Students are mentored by GMoA visual art educators, licensed by the state of North Carolina. These educators work with your child to further their learning within the bounds of the NC Standard Course of Study in the Visual Arts. We facilitate the education, exploration, and application of artistic learning in a more expansive and guided studio setting.
The year is divided into two, 8 - week semesters, September – December and February – May. Semesters consist of 16 meetings per term.
Studio times are from 4:30 – 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the GMoA Center for Art Education (located next door to the Museum).
The GMoA provides arts education classes within underserved areas of our community, including the following locations and programs:
Pitt County Council on Aging locations in Greenville, Farmville, Fountain, Bethel, Ayden, and West Greenville
Boys & Girls Club at the Lucille W. Gorham Center
East Carolina Vocational Center
